Manhood Peninsula Partnership Caring for Chichester’s Coastal Communities. The Manhood Peninsula Partnership was inspired by local residents to promote a sustainable way forward for addressing the environmental, social and economic challenges posed to the area by climate change.
Manhood Peninsula Partnership Coastal Management A large part of the Manhood is less than 5m above sea level and at risk from flooding, both inland and coastal. It is likely that climate change will increase this risk, through rising sea levels, rising water tables and increased precipitation intensity. Scuba Diving

Selsey Bill and Bracklesham Bay offer some of the best dive sites in the country for divers interested in both WWII wrecks and abundant marine life. Divers can see the best of both at the famous Mulberry Harbours site where the sunken pontoons house many species including skate, rays, eels, crabs, lobsters and soft corals. Bracklesham Bay is the proud home of HMS Hazardous wrecked in 1703, one of the UK’s protected wrecks which divers can ONLY visit after prior arrangement with the licensee. To visit the Hazardous contact Wittering Divers.

There are several outlets in Selsey and East Wittering where diving trips can be organised and diving equipment can be hired.
